The challenge

Selling specialist calculation software online means explaining its capabilities and calculation method clearly, and also handling demo requests, payments and licences for a desktop application without manual work.

Contribution

Designed and developed the OriCalc product website and its backend. In 2026 the site was redesigned with a dark visual identity, an animated particle sphere in the hero (with a control to pause the animation) and simpler navigation built around the software, pricing and contact.

Approach

The home page leads with the three calculation modes and the ISO 5167:2003 scope, with direct calls to request a demo or see the software. The software page shows the interface and a gallery of generated report pages. The pricing page compares the free demo, the Basic lifetime licence and the Enterprise offer, and answers questions about platform, licensing and activation. A separate page presents the calculation method with rendered equations. Behind the pages, a Flask application handles online payments, demo requests with secure download links and device-bound licence activation, as well as search-engine metadata, a sitemap and cached, compressed static assets.

Results

The published website now works as both the public reference and the sales channel for OriCalc, covering the path from a first visit to a demo download, purchase and activated licence.
